What to pack!
Suggestions What to Pack for your Safari:

We recommend that you bring comfortable, casual, wash and wear clothing.
Neutral earthy tones are best. Make sure your clothing is lightweight (preferably cotton) allowing your body to breathe.
The weather:
Our summer (September-April) possible rains – so pack a light weight rain jacket.
Hot so light weight clothing (cotton) advised.
Winter months (May – August) Can get very chilly – below freezing at night but by late morning warm enough for shorts and t-shirts.
Be sure to pack warm coat, beanie, scarf, gloves, jumper, do pack shorts, t-shirts as you will need these by lunch time!

2 x light long sleeve shirts (cotton or UV resistant fishing shirts are best)

Cameras & Equipment:
Binoculars – although we have close encounters with animals, in some circumstances sightings are from a distance away. Therefore a good pair of binoculars are essential.
A good torch / flashlight – imperative per person.
Extra batteries – for torches, cameras, video, shavers etc.
Please bring soft bags as these are easier for packing in the vehicles and aircraft.
The weight limit is 20kg's per person (this includes hand luggage) on all light aircraft. (Soft bags only)
Before you Travel:
Make sure you check the following:

VISA

Ensure your passport/s are valid for 6 months after your departure date.

Check and make sure if you require a visa for Botswana.

If you are not sure double check with your nearest Botswana embassy for more information.

Upon arrival you will be issued with a tourist visa with a maximum of 90 days per annum.

HEALTH

We carry a first aid kit in all our vehicles, our guides have first aid training.

However, if you have any medications you know you will need while with us, please bring enough for the duration of your trip with us, keep them safe in your hand luggage / day bag.

MALARIA

You will be travelling to a malaria zone. Contact your GP or health provider for recommendations.​

YELLOW FEVER

If you are travelling to or from Zimbabwe, Zambia or Malawi you may need a yellow fever certificate. Contact your GP or health provider for more information​

THE SUN

Here in Botswana we have many sunny days, but please take note the sun can be extremely harsh and unforgiving. Remember to pack a good sun hat, protection. Light weight long sleeve shirts and scarf protect your skin during the day.​

ELECTRONICS

Ipads, Ipods, Kindles, Laptops, Digital Cameras......Our lives are dominated by electronics.

As you can imagine travelling to remote parts of Botswana's widerness areas makes electricity hard to come by. But have no fear......we can charge your batteries using our inverters. These are 220V inverters that are hooked up to the car for all your charging needs.
