About Photographic Safari Adventures
At Photographic Safari Adventures, it’s really just the two of us — Hayden and Katie — a husband-and-wife team who’ve been guiding safaris since the mid-90s. For almost 30 years, we’ve had the privilege of sharing our love for the wild with guests from all over the world, creating real connections and truly authentic experiences out in the bush.
Because we’re a small family operation, everything we do is hands-on and personal. Both Katie and I are passionate photographers, and we love helping guests slow down, look closer, and capture the magic of Africa through their own lenses.
Over the years, we’ve also worked on various wildlife documentaries, giving us a deeper understanding of animal behaviour and the skills to help you get those once-in-a-lifetime shots. And our adventures haven’t been limited to the savannah — we’ve spent time sailing across the Indian Ocean, exploring its hidden corners and learning about the rich ecosystems that connect land and sea.
Creativity runs deep in our family. My father’s wildlife sculptures and paintings, along with my mother’s botanical art, shaped the way we see the world. Their influence has helped us appreciate the fine details that make Africa so breathtaking — something we love to share with every guest.

Our Equipment
Our "Classic Safari" tents are walk in "mini meru style" tents (large enough to stand up in). Wide entrance with veranda at the front and a enclosed bush style en-suite off the back, which will have bush style long drop loo and a bucket shower, open to the sky's above.

Our Vehicles
Our safari vehicles are modified Toyota Landcruiser 4x4's, with a carrying capacity of 6 guests. We strongly believe that ALL guests must have a "Window" seat. The tented camp is erected and dismantled then loaded onto our backup vehicle, which is also a 4x4, the next site will be ready and waiting for your arrival.
