A scenic flight from Maun to Moremi is just the beginning. After meeting your “bush pilot” you will fly over the Okavango World Heritage site. Have your cameras ready. From the air there is a very good chance you will see larger animals, elephant, giraffe, hippo.

Your safari guide will be waiting for you on the remote Xaxanaka airfield, enjoy your first game drive to your private “classic” camp in the middle of the wilderness.

On your arrival in camp our friendly safari team will greet you, show you to your comfortable tent with en-suite. Your have time to settle in and enjoy a warm bucket shower. Your guide will go through your itinerary, answer any questions and brief you on the important safety of camp life whilst on safari.

Enjoy your first sundowner and later a delicious dinner and evening gathering around the campfire, whilst listening to the calls of the wild.

Day 2 & 3 (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Your mornings will start with a gentle “dumela” as your warm water arrives at your tent. Come through to the fireplace swiftly for a morning cup of tea, coffee, a light breakfast (porridge, toast & rusks). My personal favourite homemade rusk on the go, before heading out for your early morning game drive.  This is often a good time to spot lion, leopard, and some nocturnal animals before they go and find shelter for the day. During the morning you're guide will choose a suitable picturesque place to stop for tea, coffee, cold drinks and a morning snack.

Just ask if you need a “comfort stop” your guide will happily find a suitable area for you.

As you arrive back at camp – late morning, a delicious lunch will be ready for you.  After lunch, during the heat of the day enjoy a more leisurely time, this is your time to relax, read, siesta (this is a good time to shower as is the hottest part of the day)

For photographers – this is also a good time to charge batteries and clean equipment.

High tea is served late afternoon consisting of hot / cold drinks, home made iced tea, juice and delicious snacks.

Afternoon game drive – ready for more exciting wildlife encounters.

Sundowner drinks and snacks on all afternoon activities.

Ending each day with a delicious dinner, dining in style and laughing and more bush stories around the campfire in the evening.

The Khwai River forms a boundary between the reserve and the community area. You spend the next three nights camping in the amazing area of Khwai. Exploring the Khwai floodplains on game drives, evening game drives here offer occasionally a unique opportunity to experience some of the nocturnal animals that are rarely encountered during the day. It is important to note that night drives are not permitted within the national parks and reserves. These activities are occasionally permitted in areas of the Khwai community area.

Savuti, (Chobe National Park) Days 7-9

Savuti, situated in the southwest of Chobe National Park, is a wildlife rich area with one of the highest concentrations of wildlife on the African continent, with year round opportunities to view all kinds of game. The Savuti channel is an unpredictable water source that has flowed and dried up many times over decades, from Linyanti to the heart of Chobe National Park and Savuti Marsh. This area is a haven for predator's, Savuti's pride of lion have earned a fearsome reputation for their unparalleled skill in hunting elephant. Predator sightings in general are frequent with good sightings of leopard, African wild dog and the comical bat-eared fox, to name a few.
